About Us
Our Story
Orginally known as Kukana's Uke Klub (aka Red Bluff Ukulele Club), Northstate Ukulele was founded by Susan "Kukana" Matthews and her daughter Jenni Eddy in April of 2010. The club has gone through many transformations and has four chapters/branches:
Aptos chapter was founded April 4th, 2010
Red Bluff chapter was founded September 25th, 2015
South Redding chapter was founded September 15th, 2022
Manton chapter was founded January 10th, 2023
In 2022 we re-branded and all of the various chapters are simply known as Northstate Ukulele. Our arrangements are free and currently include songs for both soprano and baritone ukulele. Our meetings are always free and welcome all music enthusiasts, all instruments, and all levels of experience. Our motto is JUST SHOW UP.

Interested in booking us for a party or an event? We have a duo named Mop & Broom (founders Jenni and Madrone) who play a variety of music at large or small venues.
